To all of our newly scratched Specie Pediculi... welcome to the Crummiest Fraternity in the VFW!
You've answered the call, earned your place among the Cooties, and joined a fraternity with a proud tradition of Honor, Loyalty, Perseverance, and Industry. Now it's time to dust off that red hat, grab your kazoo, and invade the seams with the rest of us.
The Military Order of the Cootie is more than meetings and ceremonies. We are the Honor Degree of the VFW, dedicated to visiting hospitalized veterans and Keep 'em Smilin' in Beds of White. Every Scratch, every hospital visit, every act of service, and every new member recruited helps carry on that mission.
Get involved with your Pup Tent. Ask questions. Volunteer often. Don't be afraid to jump right into the fun. Before long you'll discover what thousands of Cooties before you have learned—that the greatest reward isn't the red hat, it's the friendships, laughter, and service shared with your fellow Specie Pediculi.
To our newly scratched officers, congratulations on accepting the challenge of leadership within our Crummy Fraternity. Your willingness to serve your Pup Tent, your Grand, and your fellow Specie Pediculi is what keeps our traditions alive and our mission moving forward. I encourage you to lead by example, support your fellow Cooties, and never lose sight of the mission that unites us all—Keep 'em Smilin' in Beds of White. Congratulations, officers... now let's get to scratchin'!
Yours in LOTCS,
Drew James
